The government’s eSARAS platform is helping women-led Self-Help Groups sell handcrafted, food, apparel, personal-care and household products directly to customers, reducing dependence on intermediaries and widening access to national markets.
Developed under DAY-NRLM, the platform combines an online marketplace, mobile application, fulfilment support, physical retail, exhibitions and integrations with ONDC and UMANG. More than 800 products are available through multiple ONDC buyer applications, while institutional initiatives such as the SARAS Shakti Collection target corporate buyers.
For rural micro-enterprises, eSARAS offers digital visibility, branding, packaging and logistics support. The initiative can strengthen women’s incomes, formalise grassroots businesses and create scalable opportunities for artisans, cooperatives and local producer groups.
