Continuing on the high note of the arrival of the Calendar year 2020, Laghu Udyog Bharati, Nagpur unit started with a unique concept of weekly meetups, every Wednesday at our Central Office, in Shivaji Nagar, Nagpur.
It has been decided that all members should meet at around 18:00 every Wednesday for around 60-90 minutes, keeping the Meetup short and sweet. The agenda for every meetup shall be finalised by collecting ideas from members based upon what they need, guidance, motivation, brain-storming, etc. One of the major objectives of the meetup is to grow the strength of Laghu Udyog Bharati, by developing close and long lasting relationships within its members via regular meaningful interactions and collective activities.
Given the extreme weather, with cold (<5ºC) temperatures, incessant rains & hailstorm, that has gripped Nagpur region, it was heartening to see 11 members turn up for the very first Weekly Meetup which was attended by the President of Nagpur Ekai Shri Udayan Shrouti as well as National Secretary Shri Sunil Sirsikar.
Udayan ji outlined the need for sharing personal information of the local members in a format that is shareable within the local member community. All LUB Nagpur members are requested to send their information in the following format:

As a lot of young and new members were in presence, the discussion hovered around objectives of Laghu Udyog Bharati and its significance in the scheme of things. Sunil ji elaborated upon these aspects of the organisation and how any entrepreneur must volunteer to contribute for an organisation like Laghu Udyog Bharati, where in the benefits to be derived are manifolds the contribution you can put in. He also emphasised, with examples, on the instances when Laghu Udyog Bharati has played a major role in helping member MSME units in fighting with major problems they had faced.
Shri Sunil Sirsikar also explained the role of Laghu Udyog Bharati on a pan India level, where it is the strongest interface for MSMEs to connect with various Government Authorities, Ministries, Departments, etc. in resolving problems or giving feedback on existing policies and their implementation. He also outlined how Laghu Udyog Bharati members have been representing the MSME Industry on various government boards and committees driving the policy making machinery to include the voice of the entrepreneurs.
LUB Nagpur president also felt that such weekly meetups if successful could be replicated throughout India across all units of Laghu Udyog Bharati and the format of the interaction could evolve to include various learning experiences, like interactions with subject experts, brain-storming on member cases, hand holding of new members, workshops to learn about improving specific aspects of business, training, motivation sessions, etc.
Individual members put forth their queries and exchanged their views, all eventually concluding on the fact that these Weekly Meetups should be held and attended by all for mutual benefit. Thus began a (hopefully) long journey with a small step….
