The quarterly Executive Meeting of LUB-Punjab was held in Jalandhar on 24/2/19 under the Presidentship of Sh. Arvind Dhumal. LUB National President Sh. Jitendra ji Gupta too graced the occasion! National Secretary LUB Sh. Dinesh ji Lakra & National Power committee Convener Sh. Vijay ji Talwar were specifically present in the meeting. Following members were present:

DEMANDS of PHILLAUR & BATALA
Sh. Ravinder Handa (President LUB-Batala) & Sh. Vinesh Shukla (LUB-Punjab Joint-Sec.) raised their demand of Railway connectivity of Batala. Sh. Darshan Singh Sambih (President Phillaur-Unit) & Sh. Ashwani Malhotra (Gen.Sec.LUB-Phillaur) put forth their demand for a Railway Over-bridge. Both the units were requested to prepare memorandums for their demands and forward them to LUB-Punjab, so that, the same may be taken up with the relevant authorities. Sh. Sushil Jindal (Gen.Sec.LUB Dera-Bassi) raised the issue of bogus bills & frauds in GST, & he requested National President to kindly bring this to the knowledge of Central govt., so that, such cases should be dealt with as soon as possible, & genuine tax-payers could be saved from harassment! He was requested to bring to the notice of LUB, if he had specific information, to be brought
It was brought to the notice of the National President Sh. Jitendra ji Guptathat, the form and application process for Consent for groundwater use was very complex and lengthy. He advised that, the units should send their proposals/suggestions regarding the changes sought by them, so that the same may be taken up by the national leadership.
Financial Assistance to Units conducting state-level seminars/programmes/sammelans
Sh. Harish Gupta (President LUB-Jalandhar) raised the issue that, the units should be encouraged to hold such state-level programmes by creating a mechanism for their funding from LUB-prant exchequer, to which Sh. Dinesh Lakra & Sh.Vijay Talwar both agreed principally, & said that, a minimum Rs.31,000/- & maximum Rs.51,000/- should be given to the unit organising prant-level programme, hence-forth! This decision was endorsed by the entire LUB-Punjab executive members, in the presence of National President, Sh. Jitendra ji Gupta.
After that, Sh. Samir Khanna invited Sh.Vijay Talwar to pay vote of thanks, whcih he did & invited all the LUB-Punjab executive members to join for the state-level Laghu Udyammi Sammellan, which was to follow this meeting, in the same venue! LUB-Punjab quarterly executive meeting culminated!
State-Level Laghu Udyammi Sammellan of LUB-Punjab
The seventh LUB-Punjab prant laghu Udyammi Sammellan was organised in Jalandhar (immediately after the quarterly LUB-Punjab executive committee meeeting, at the same venue). This was a state-level sammellan (as each state/prant is suppossed to organise one such sammellan, along with other unit/district level sammellans).
LUB-Punjab senior Vice-President Sh. Ashok Gupta & LUB-Phagwara Gen.Sec.Sh. Pankaj Gautam also joined the sammellan.
Many LUB-Jalandhar unit members, representatives of Jalandhar-MSMEs & their family members also joined the sammellan. The presence of large number of women was the hall-mark of this sammellan.
The sammellan started with offering floral tributes to bharat-maata & lighting of jyoti (lamp)! After that, national song vande-maataram was sung!
Then LUB-Jalandhar President Sh. Harish Gupta, Gen. Sec. Sh. Vivek Rathour, VP Sh. Harwinder Nagi, Sec. Sh. Sumit & Amit Duggal, Sh. Anirudh Dhir, Sh.Chitkara, senior VP Sh. Avnish Parmar (joint Gen.Sec.LUB-Punjab), Sec.LUB-Punjab Sh. Vishal Dada & other senior LUB-members of Jalnadhar, Sh. Manohar Dhawan, Sh. Pran Bhalla, Sh. Gurbax Juneja welcomed with bouquets, National President Sh. Jitendra ji Gupta, National Sec. Sh. Dinesh Lakra, Convenor National Power committee Sh. Vijay Talwar, President LUB-Punjab Adv.Arvind Dhumal, Gen. Sec. Sh. Samir Khanna, Senior VP LUB-Punjab Sh. Ashok Gupta, NSIC officials Sh. AK Verma & Sh. Gurpal Singh (sponsoring the sammellan) & the Managing officials of Maanav-sahyog-society (athe handicraft products made by them were also displayed there in an exhibition).
Sh. Harish Gupta narrated the working of LUB-Jalandhar unit & appreciated the works done by Sh. Manohar Dhawan, with regard to Valves Cluster! He also gave a description about the various issues plaguing the Jalandhar MSMEs. After that, LUB-Punjab & Jalandhar office-bearers presented memorandums, with regard to GST, Electricity, Pollution related matters (copies attached) to National President Sh. Jitendra ji Gupta.
NSIC-officials Sh. AK Verma & Sh. Gurpal Singh many policies of govt. with regard to MSMEs in Punjab, & assured all help & assistance to MSMEs in exhibitions (both in India & abroad).
After that, the pamphlet (attached)containing the major achievements & activities of LUB (both at National & Punjab level) were distributed to all the members, delegates etc.present there!
In his address LUB-Punjab-President Adv. Arvind Dhumal gave the detailed background about the glorious past of India, its thousands of years of economic development & share in world trade, & the factors led to its downfall which emboldened foreign invaders & put India under subjugation for 1000 years. This destroyed established commercial centres & industry of India. In the 90s, the policies of WTO destroyed the small manufacturing units established in Indian villages & small towns, which led to increasing in unemployment (the phenomenon unknown to India, till a few hundred years back). Under these circumstances, some nationalists established Laghu Udyog Bharati, on 25/04/1994, which is working for the betterment of MSMEs across the length & breadth of India, from J/K to Kanyakumari, & from Goa to Assam.
Sh. Vijay Talwar informed the members about the points raised with Electricity Regulatory Commission on Punjab (presented to National President alongwith the memorandums)!
After that, National Sec. Sh. Dinesh Lakra requested National Prsident Sh. Jitendra Gupta to formulate the first Women wing of LUB-Punjab, with Smt.Archana Jain (Hoshiarpur as its first President & Smt. Seema Dhumal (Jalandhar) as its first Gen.Sec. Sh. Jitendra ji Gupta presented bouquets to both the women entrepreneurs, & said that, many LUB states/prants have already constituted women wings, but this is the first in North-West India. He expressed hope that, with the formation of this team, many more women entrepreneurs from Punjab would come forward to join LUB, & work for the betterment of women entrepreneurs, by raising with concerned authorities, various problems being faced by them, & also enlighten the women entrepreneurs about the many existing schemes of central & state governments for the welfare of women entrepreneurs!
Sh. Dinesh Lakra then informed the members about the efforts made by him & LUB in getting the Dhanvantari mobile app trial run started, & in getting notified in central govt.Gazett, the reduction in ESIC contribution, which will be a big relief to MSMEs!
In his address National President Sh. Jitendra ji Gupta lauded the successful conduction of state-level Laghu Udyammi Sammellan, & also the other district/unit-level six sammellans before this. He also appreciated the presence of a large number of women & family members. He said that, LUB has reached more than 365 districts of India, & has established units in 500 odd industrial towns. He stressed the need of convening regular meetings at unit-level, & continuous efforts to reach each industrial area by the time LUB celebrates its National-level silver-jubilee in August 2019, at Nagpur, & where each unit should make sure its representation, & send the traveling details well-in-time. He also gave the account of various efforts being done by LUB at National level for the betterment of MSMEs, Laghu Udyammi Sammellans being organized throughout the country, women-wings of LUB working efficiently in other states/prants etc. He reminded the LUB units present there to concentrate on increasing the numerical strength by constituting units in each industrial area of Punjab, & he even offered assistance from National LUB in this regard. He again reminded LUB units about the contributions to be made for the National Head-office building. He said that, LUB is committed for the betterment of MSMEs in India, so that, India could again become the economic centre of the world, the status which it enjoyed till the beginning of the last millennium, by developing in an eco-friendly way!
Adv. Arvind Dhumal requested all to observe one-minute silence, in the memory of the CRPF martyrs, who lost their lives in Pulwama suicide attack! After that, the national anthem was sung, & all were invited for lunch! State-level Laghu Udyammi Sammellan concluded!
