The quarterly executive committee meeting of LUB-Punjab was held in Amritsar, on 21/07/2019. Past National President Er.Sh. Vinod Jain, National Working committee members – Mr. Dinesh Lakra (National Sec.) & Mr. Vijay Talwar (Convener National Power Committee) were specifically present. The meeting was presided over by LUB-Punjab President Adv. Arvind Dhumal.
There was no representation from — Hoshiarpur, Goraya, Mohali, Mandi-G’garh, Sirhind, Malerkotla & Patiala.
Meeting started as per Agenda:
A. As per the first point of Agenda, Mr. Samir Khanna welcomed all the LUB-Punjab executive committee members, & request them to give self-introduction, which all gave one by one;
B. He then invited Adv. Arvind Dhumal to take the proceedings further, which he did & then as per the next point of Agenda, he informed all the members that, till the Bhilai NEC (from 26 to 28 of May, 2019), 7 Laghu Udyammi sammellans were organised in Punjab – Dera-Bassi, Sirhind, Batala, Amritsar, Phillaur, Phagwara & Jalandhar (state level sammellan, where All India President LUB Mr. Jitendra Gupt was specifically present).
He further added that, Ludhiana unit showed its inability in organising Laghu Udyammi Sammellan there (the fact was made known to us by Prabhari LUB-Ludhiana & Vice-President LUB-Punjab Mr. Lalit Gupta). Now — Malerkotla, Patiala, Mohali, Goraya & Mandi Govindgarh have yet to organise these sammellans, & all prabharies were requested to kindly keep in touch with unit office-bearers & fix dates for the conduction of such sammellans, before the Nagpur AGM of 16th to 18th of August, 2019.
LUB-Hoshiarpur did organise one seminar during LS elections of May, 2019 (where the then Union Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal was chief guest), & they were requested to provide details of that, sammellan (as there was no representation from LUB-Hoshiarpur unit int he meeting, Prabhari Hoshiarpur unit Mr .Ashok Gupta VP LUB-Punjab was requested to get it from them).

C. As per the next point of Agenda, Adv. Arvind Dhumal asked all the members to strive to achieve their given membership targets before the Nagpur AGM of 16th, 17th & 18th of August, 2019, & he also requested unit-prabharies to oversee this membership drive;
D. As per the next point of Agenda, Adv. Arvind Dhumal informed all the members that, so far LUB-Punjab has submitted the 21% of the promised National Building Fund Amount, & he requested all the units to achieve this target too in the coming times. Jalandhar has made the highest contributions, while – Goraya, Malerkotla, Mandi-Govindgarh, Patiala & Mohali have made no contribution. Ludhiana, Amritsar & Phagwara too have contributed much less than their targets. Hoshiarpur, Batala & Phillaur too need to contribute to this fund, the contributions of which are 50% exempt u/s 80G of Income-Tax Act.
E. As per the next point of Agenda, Adv. Arvind Dhumal said that, the details of Nagpur AGM with regard to the appointment of vrious coordinators had already been sent to all the LUB-Punjab executive committee members, still it was again given for the convenience of all members, which is as under:

He then informed members present that, so far 45 members have booked their Air tickets to & fro Nagpur, & he requested members that, LUB-Punjab is supposed to send a minimum of 50 members in Nagpur AGM, & Malerkotla, Mandi-Govindgarh & Mohali & Goraya units have yet not sent any booking details. He requested the respective prabharies of these units to make sure that, these units too send their travelling details, & also reminded them to do online registrations on www.lubdata.com, as soon as possible.
Mr. Pradeep Mongia informed the members that, LUB-Punjab too has taken a stall. Where a 20 minutes moving display of the products being manufactured in various industrial towns of Punjab by LUB-Punjab members, will be showcased on the LED screen. Only the products manufactured by cottage & village small manufacturers will be physically displayed, rest those who wish to showcase their products, can do so through a pen-drive which shall be of 20 minutes, with interested members having a slot of minimum 10 seconds each, for a nominal amount. This display will be played throughout the session for all three days during the AGM, Nagpur i.e. from 16th to 18th of August, 2019.
Mr. Dinesh Lakra said that, the interested members can either make their own display or can take services of a professional hired by LUB. Unit Presidnts/Gen.Secretaries are requested to kindly get in touch with the esteemed members of their respective units, & send these advertisements to Mr. Pradeep Mongia (9216125258) at the earliest.
The LUB-Punjab quarterly executive committee meeting culminated, which was followed by LUB-Amritsar General Body Meeting. Amritsar DC Mr.Shivdular Singh was the chief-guest & DIC GM Amritsar was special guest in it. Many LUB-Amritsar members too participated, along with the LUB-Punjab executive committee members.
The meeting started with the offering of floral tributes to Bhaarat-maata & national-song Vande-maataram. Guests were welcomed with flower bouquets.
LUB-Amritsar President Dr. JP Singh welcomed all the members & guests, & requested DIC GM & DC Amritsar to make efforts in extending border area facilities to the industries of Amritsar & Batala.
Mr. Samir Khanna made aware the members about the organisational expanse of LUB across the length & breadth of India& in Punjab, & stressed the need to strengthen its base in Punjab, by enrolling & inducting more & more members.
DIC Amritsar GM Mr. BS Walia informed the members that, Punjab govt. has authorized DC to pass projects up to the value of Rs.10 crores at District level, this will save valuable time, earlier spent on going to Chandigarh for this purpose. He also informed that, the facilities of – roads, sewerage, street-light, water etc. will be provided by govt. in the industrial areas declared under master-plan. Mr. Vinesh Shukla & Mr. Ravnder Handa wanted to know the status of CLCSS, to which he said that, the notifications has been done in February itself, with regard to its continuation.
In his address LUB-Punjab President Adv. Arvind Dhumal informed the members present about the factors which led to the formation of LUB, 25 years back, about its aims, & how it has been able to fight for the cause of MSMEs, & could save its interests many a times, in this era of cut-throat competition, unequal globalisation & liberalisation (which resulted in the de-reservation of 1300 odd items reserved for the MSMEs sector), After that, the new LUB-Amritsar team was formed (for the next term) in the following manner:

He advised them to constitute new executive & send their list as soon as possible.
Mr. Dinesh Lakra informed the members about his efforts as member central govt. ESIC committee. He said that, he is available for any help & assistance in improving the ESIC facilities in Amritsar, as per the desires of LUB-Amritsar unit.
Mr. Shivdular Singh (DC Amritsar) said that, MSMEs (especially small scale industries) are the major employment generation & skill development centres. He said that, Amritsar MSMEs will benefit from the fact that, this city has more visitors than any other city, owing to the presence of Golden Temple, Wagah/Attari Border, Jalianwala-Bagh, Durgiana Mandir & now with the opening of Kartarpur corridor.
