The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) team, in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC), Jhansi, successfully organized an MSME Seller Onboarding Workshop aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs to participate in government procurement opportunities. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 130 sellers representing Jhansi and neighboring districts. Throughout the session, participants were provided step-by-step guidance on the crucial aspects of seller registration, profile completion, and catalogue management on the GeM portal, enabling them to navigate the platform with greater ease and confidence. To ensure practical learning and immediate results, six dedicated volunteers equipped with laptops extended on-the-spot support, which led to the successful live onboarding of 38 sellers during the workshop itself. This initiative not only created awareness but also instilled trust in the GeM system, reflecting the government’s commitment to fostering transparency, efficiency, and inclusivity in public procurement. By bridging the gap between technology and local enterprise, the workshop strengthened the foundation for greater MSME participation in India’s rapidly evolving digital marketplace.
