The second general body meeting and fourth monthly meeting of Laghu Udyog Bharti Phagwara was successfully held on 21st March 2025 at Hotel Imperial Poonam, GT Road, Phagwara. The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from members and local entrepreneurs. Distinguished guests included Sardar Simarjot Singh, General Manager, DIC Kapurthala; Sardar Jagjit Singh, Deputy Director, Factories; Sardar Sukhwinder Singh, Fire Officer; along with Mr. Rahul Taneja and Mr. Deepak Choudhary from the MSME Department. During the meeting, Mr. Rahul Taneja provided valuable insights into Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), explaining their importance for MSMEs and highlighting various government schemes supporting patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Fire Officer Sardar Sukhwinder Singh conducted a live demonstration of fire safety measures, emphasizing the need for safety protocols and legal compliance in industrial units. Sardar Jagjit Singh addressed queries regarding building stability certificates, licenses, and renewals, guiding members on statutory requirements essential for safe and lawful operations. Expressing his support, Sardar Simarjot Singh assured that the District Industries Centre (DIC) would continue assisting industries in availing benefits of government schemes and ensuring smooth operations. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and presentation of tokens of appreciation to all dignitaries. The event proved to be a productive platform for knowledge sharing, strengthening industry-government interaction, and reaffirming LUB Phagwara's commitment to supporting local MSMEs.
