STREE SHAKTI UTSAV 2021 –
Rotary Bengaluru Basavanagudi was one of the sponsor and partner club. RB Centennial & RB Cantonment Jointly Orgainized this Utsav in Association with Laghu Udyog Bharati,1M1B & other Rotary Clubs of 3190. It was held on 19th December 2021. The venue for this event was Hall of Rotary Cantonment,Promenade road, Bangalore-05.
This Utsav was organised by Rotary Bangalore Centennial and Rotary Bangalore Cantonment and was partnered by 17 other rotary clubs. It was very heartening to see rural women entrepreneurs walk towards economic growth and development. These women entrepreneurs showcased their products in their stalls.
It was indeed very inspiring to listen to Ms Vandana Suri, chief guest, who was into financing turn into taxi driver, a conscious choice to create safe travel for women and children. She has started a driving school for women to train them, which sometimes takes months and a year to train women for them to drive taxis and tempo travelers.
