Entrepreneurship Awareness Program Organised in Collaboration with LUB Karnataka
On 23rd April 2025, Laghu Udyog Bharati Karnataka in collaboration with Rani Channamma University, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Peeth, and Basaveshwara College of Commerce, organized an impactful Entrepreneurship Awareness Program aimed at inspiring and guiding the youth towards self-reliance and enterprise development.
The keynote address was delivered by Shri Basavraj Barigudad, Joint Director, District Industries and Commerce Centre, who spoke extensively on various government schemes available for budding entrepreneurs. He also engaged in an interactive session with students, addressing their queries and motivating them to explore opportunities in entrepreneurship.
Shri Nave, Chairman of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Peeth, emphasized the Peeth’s commitment to nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship and extended full support for students interested in starting their ventures.
Dr. Priya Puranik, State Secretary of LUB Karnataka, provided a comprehensive overview of Laghu Udyog Bharati's initiatives and support systems designed specifically for startups and early-stage entrepreneurs. In her inspiring message, she encouraged students to become job creators rather than job seekers, and to aim to be proud Bharatiyas contributing to national growth, rather than aspiring to become NRIs.
Adding further inspiration, Smt. Nalini and Smt. Lata, Chairperson and Secretary of the Belgavi Women Cell, shared their personal entrepreneurial journeys, serving as role models for the attendees.
The event witnessed active participation, with over 125 students in attendance, and notably, five students expressed a keen interest in pursuing entrepreneurship.
In his concluding presidential address, Principal Shri Chavan extended his appreciation towards Laghu Udyog Bharati for its continued efforts in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students and for extending meaningful support to future entrepreneurs.
