Laghu Udyog Bharati Belagavi Women Cell Organizes Five-Day Art & Craft Workshop to Empower Women Entrepreneurs
Laghu Udyog Bharati – Belagavi Women Cell successfully conducted a five-day Art & Craft Programme from May 11, 2025, in Belagavi, aiming to promote creativity, skill development, and self-reliance among women.
The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Anand Yallattikar, Junior Training Officer, Department of Industrial Training and Employment, and Dr. Venkatesh A. Shindihatti, KAS, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Kalaburagi. Their encouraging words highlighted the importance of hands-on skills and vocational training in boosting women's confidence and entrepreneurial capabilities.
The sessions were led by Ms. Megha N Shirodkar, a certified Fevicryl Expert Teacher, who guided 45 participants through various art and craft techniques. Over the five days, participants engaged in practical learning and created beautiful handmade items, discovering both the joy of creativity and the potential for home-based businesses.
This initiative by Laghu Udyog Bharati not only provided skill enhancement but also opened doors for women to explore opportunities in the art and craft sector, fostering a sense of empowerment and community among the attendees.
