The Laghu Udyog Bharathi – Coimbatore Chapter, in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC) Coimbatore, successfully hosted a Lean Manufacturing Awareness Program on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the DIC premises. The program, themed “Lean Manufacturing – Boosting Productivity, Reducing Waste,” was led by Mr. K. Vijaya Raju, Deputy Director of the National Productivity Council, Chennai. Mr. Raju, an expert in the field, provided practical and actionable insights into the core principles of lean manufacturing, focusing on eliminating waste, improving operational efficiency, enhancing product quality, cost-saving strategies, and leveraging government support for MSMEs. The event was attended by over 40 engaged members and graced by esteemed DIC officials including General Manager Mr. Shanmuga Siva, Assistant Directors Mr. Sethuraman and Mrs. Sri Rajeshwari. The program received appreciation for its relevance and timeliness, and members acknowledged the efforts of the new district office bearers — President Shri Sivasakthi, Secretary Shri Jayakanthan, Treasurer Shri Vathirajan, and other district members — for organizing this valuable initiative to empower MSMEs with productivity-boosting strategies.
