The Office Bearers Installation Ceremony of Laghu Udyog Bharati – Villupuram District (2025–27) was held Greens Party Hall, Villupuram, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of entrepreneurs, dignitaries, and guests from across the region.
The program began with a warm welcome address by Mr. Jayakumar Venkataraman, National Mass Communication Board Member, who greeted all attendees with heartfelt words. A special moment came when Ms. Sadhana Sri, a 4th Standard student, delivered an impressive speech on environmental protection, drawing everyone’s appreciation.
Several dignitaries shared valuable insights on government schemes and industrial growth. Mr. Lourdesamy, Branch Manager, ESIC, explained the SPREE 2025 scheme in simple terms, while Mr. Sivakumar, Energy Auditor, spoke on the importance of Energy Audits for reducing electricity costs in industries. Mr. Siva Natarajan, Assistant Director, DSTO Villupuram, highlighted various Skill Development Programs and assured support for signing an MOU with LUB to set up a Skill Development Centre. Mr. Prasanna, Assistant Director, DIC Villupuram, provided in-depth details about Central and State Government subsidy schemes and their benefits for entrepreneurs, and Mr. Naseer from Indian Bank explained the procedures for availing bank loans.
Adding to the knowledge sessions, Mr. Vijayaraju, Deputy Director, NPC Chennai, spoke on government schemes and LEAN Manufacturing concepts, later conducting a specialized awareness training session on the same. Additionally, Mr. G. Vignesh Ram (MSME ZED Assessor) and Mr. Poongkuilan (ZED Facilitator) conducted a ZED Awareness Training, enriching participants with the latest updates on quality and efficiency standards.
The highlight of the event was the inspiring address by Dr. Verchezhiyan, State President, who elaborated on the vision and benefits of LUB for entrepreneurs. He also administered the oath of office to the newly elected Villupuram district office bearers and appointed additional district in-charges – Mr. Poongkuilan for Cuddalore, Mr. Brahmadevan for Kallakurichi, and Mr. Gopu for Vellore.
In his acceptance speech, newly elected District President Mr. D. Thanagopal resolved to unite all associations in Villupuram district and work collectively. He announced the formation of new LUB units at Poothurai and Pattanoor through active membership drives and assured the creation of an Industry Directory after personally visiting industries in the district.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. RBR Rajesh, District Secretary, Villupuram, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and members for making the event a grand success.
