LUB Mahila ikkai Delhi recently organised a valuable workshop on stress management for teachers as part of their ongoing training program. The workshop, held on June 10th, 2024, recognized the significant impact stress can have on educators' wellbeing and, consequently, their ability to effectively guide and inspire young minds.
Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of our society. They face various challenges daily, including managing large class sizes, handling diverse learning needs, and ensuring a positive learning environment. These pressures can lead to significant stress, impacting their physical and mental health, and ultimately hindering their teaching effectiveness. The workshop aimed to equip teachers with practical strategies and techniques to manage stress effectively. It covered topics such as:
Identifying common stressors in the teaching profession
Recognizing the signs and symptoms of stress
Developing healthy coping mechanisms
Techniques for relaxation and mindfulness
Building resilience and emotional intelligence
The workshop was well attended and received a very good response from the teachers. Smt Jayanti Goela, adhyaksh LUB's Mahila Ikkai, Delhi assured that more such workshops will be organised to equip teachers to handle pressures of the dynamic learning scenarios.
