Meeting with GST Commissioner Shri Sanjiv Kumar Mishra, IRS
Today, a delegation comprising Shri Naresh Gupta, Shri Sanjay Batra, Shri Ishan Agarwal, Shri Ankur Jain, Shri Manoj Chowdhary, Shri Subhash Agarwal and other members met GST Commissioner (CGST), Shri Sanjiv Kumar Mishra, IRS at Greater Noida.
During the interaction, Shri Sanjiv Ji emphasized that GST today functions on the foundation of “TRUST”, which has significantly contributed to the growth of collections, now reaching ₹29 Lakh Crore. He also made it clear that there would be no waivers or concessions for ghost companies.
Importantly, he confirmed that AI is not currently being used for issuing notices to GST-registered entities.
On behalf of industry members, Shri Naresh Gupta and Shri Sanjay Batra raised key issues including:
Ineffectiveness of the GSTN Call Centre
Provision of E-Way Bill OTP on Email in addition to mobile
Simplification of GST Export Refund procedures
Facility to download E-Way Bills beyond 5 days
Several other industry-related matters were also discussed. The Commissioner appreciated the proactive role of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) in addressing challenges faced by enterprises. He further assured that there would be no harassment of genuine GST-registered businesses, and members are welcome to meet him directly for grievance redressal.
