Empowering MSMEs with Procurement & Marketing Support
Laghu Udyog Bharati, in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, successfully organized a National Workshop on Procurement & Marketing Support Schemes (PMS) on 13th February 2025 in New Delhi. This workshop served as a vital platform for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to gain deeper insights into procurement opportunities, digital trade platforms, and financial support mechanisms that can enhance their business growth and market reach.
The discussions covered essential aspects such as GeM (Government e-Marketplace) registration, enabling MSMEs to participate in government procurement processes, and public procurement policies, which help them leverage priority benefits in tendering. A special focus was given to e-commerce through ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce), a revolutionary initiative that integrates small businesses into the digital marketplace, ensuring broader market visibility. Export marketing strategies were also explored, guiding MSMEs on how to scale their businesses globally by tapping into international trade networks.
Additionally, the workshop highlighted NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation) schemes and financial assistance programs, offering practical knowledge on credit accessibility, subsidies, and support mechanisms for scaling operations. Participants gained first-hand exposure to government initiatives aimed at empowering MSMEs with knowledge, policy advocacy, and networking opportunities, fostering sustainable growth in a competitive business environment.
With its unwavering commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem, Laghu Udyog Bharati continues to bridge the gap between government policies and grassroots entrepreneurs, ensuring that small businesses remain at the forefront of India's economic development.
