Laghu Udyog Bharati Strengthens Industry-Academia Collaboration in Goa

Pallavi Salgaocar, the Goa State President, represented Laghu Udyog Bharati at an Industry-Academia Conclave. An interactive session was organized with 28 industry trade associations of Goa in the presence of Secretary of Education, Shri Prasad Lolayekar (IAS), Director of Higher Education (DHE) Bhushan Savaikar, Dr. Niyan Marchom, Coordinator of Converge GSHEC, and DHE officials.

The key discussions during the session included the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and best practices at DHE, internship opportunities for undergraduate students, and skill development along with suggestions from industry leaders. Various industry representatives provided their valuable inputs and recommendations.

During the event, the Centralized Training, Internship, and Placement (TIP) Cell of DHE released the TIP brochure for 2024-25.

Additionally, past LUB presidents Rajkumar Kamat, Arman Bankley, and Gaurav Kenkre were also present as part of the discussion from the LUB Executive Committee. This conclave aimed to strengthen collaboration between the industry and academia, ensuring that students receive practical exposure and skill enhancement aligned with industry requirements.
