Laghu Udyog Bharati (Purvottar Prant) celebrated its 32nd Sthapna Diwas with great enthusiasm on 24–25 April 2025 in Guwahati, in collaboration with the Pollution Control Board Assam and Union Bank of India. The two-day event began at Hotel Novotel with an Interactive Open Session on Industries, graced by distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Lakshmanan S., IAS, Secretary, Industries; Dr. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour & Welfare; Shri Abhinav Bhatt, Regional Head, Union Bank of India (North East); and Dr. Arup Kumar Mishra, Chairman, Pollution Control Board, Assam. Highlights included a panel discussion on industry and sustainability challenges, the launch of LEAP (LUB’s E-Vyapar Advanced Platform) to digitally empower MSMEs, and a vibrant Bihu cultural performance by a 15-member artist team. A special session on Plastic Waste Management and Single-Use Plastic was also held in association with the Pollution Control Board. The celebrations continued on 25th April at the Industrial Growth Centre (IGC), Changsari, with the inauguration of a drinking water facility for LUB members, sponsored by M/s Sole Water and M/s Indomech Industries, and a tree plantation drive at IGC and a nearby school to promote green initiatives. The two-day festivities concluded with a joyful family get-together featuring games, dance, music, and networking, reflecting the spirit of unity, progress, and community commitment of Laghu Udyog Bharati.
