Laghu Udyog Bharati J&K Team Explores Industry-Academia Collaboration with IIM Jammu
The Laghu Udyog Bharati Jammu & Kashmir team, led by President Shri Parveen Gupta, visited the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu for a strategic meeting with the Director of IIM Jammu. The core agenda of the meeting was to explore opportunities for a collaborative framework between local industries in Jammu and the students and faculty of IIM Jammu.
This proposed collaboration aims to foster mutual growth—by enabling MSMEs and local industries to benefit from the cutting-edge knowledge, research insights, and innovative strategies of IIM students, while simultaneously offering students real-world exposure and practical experience. Discussions revolved around how industries in the region could be supported through technological interventions, strategic marketing, product launch assistance, financial planning, and other business development services.
The initiative seeks to create a strong industry-academia partnership that will accelerate industrial development in the region, improve business sustainability, and empower the youth with entrepreneurial and managerial competencies rooted in local needs.
