Laghu Udyog Bharti organized an industrial visit for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Maharishi Markandeshwar Engineering College, Mullana, Ambala, on 3rd August 2024.
The visit took place at Mongia & Co (Mfg. Div.) in Derabassi and saw the enthusiastic participation of around 60 students.
Dr. Shruti Sharma, the DIC Functional Manager was present today.
The students were provided with invaluable insights into the manufacturing processes and industrial practices.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including:
Sh. Davinder Kaushal, President of LUB Derabassi; Deepak Dhingra and Sahil Garg, Secretary of LUB Derabassi; Pardeep Mongia, State General Secretary of LUB & Anil Sharma, State Secretary of LUB.
From the academic side, Dr. Subhash Malik, Assistant Professor, Senior Grade II, and Dr. Shalom Akhai, Professor at MMEC, were also present to guide and mentor the students during the visit.
In addition to the industrial tour, a tree plantation drive was also conducted, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation.
This initiative highlighted the collaborative efforts of Mongia & Co (Mfg. Div.), Derabassi and LUB, Punjab in promoting sustainable practices alongside industrial growth.
The visit provided a comprehensive learning experience for the students, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The hands-on exposure to the industrial environment and the interaction with industry experts will undoubtedly enhance their academic and professional growth.
