Laghu Udyog Bharati Delegation Meets Union Commerce Minister, Raises Key MSME Export & Policy Concerns

A delegation of Laghu Udyog Bharati headed by Sh. Prakash Chandra Gupta, All India Organising Secretary alongwith Sh. Om Prakash Gupta, All India General Secretary, Sh. Naresh Chand Pareek, All India Jt. Gen. Secretary and Sh. Vivek Aggarwal, National Co-Convenor, Paper & Packaging Samuh met Today Sh. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry. During the interaction, the delegation raised key issues concerning MSEs exporters affected due to Iran war and restrictions being brought by USA on exports of Quartz Surface Slabs. Similarly, GST benefits available under NEIDS 2017 and Unnati 2024 to North-Eastern Region have been adversely affected due to recent changes in GST rates including need for a new policy framework and issue of recycling units were raised. To ensure availability of Skill workforce for footwear industry, request to establish a Skill Training Centre at Madipur Footwear Cluster and representation of MSMEs in the Export Promotion Council was made. Hon’ble Minister gave a patient hearing and advised the concerned officials for suitable action.
