Workshop on Efficient Operation and Maintenance of Boilers: Advancing Energy Efficiency and Management
A specialized workshop on "Efficient Operation and Maintenance of Boilers" was jointly organized by the National Productivity Council (NPC) and Laghu Udyog Bharti, Purvottar Prant, at Hotel Royal De Casa, Guwahati. The primary objective of the workshop was to educate industry representatives on effective methods for energy conservation, boiler efficiency, and sustainable management practices.
The technical session was led by Professor Samarjyoti Hazarika from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), who delved into key topics such as energy conservation, efficient boiler operations, furnace and pump efficiency, MTOE (Million Ton of Oil Equivalent) calculations, safety inspections, water treatment processes, water audits, and effective maintenance strategies. His insights provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of managing boilers efficiently.
Following this, NPC's Deputy Director, Mr. Manoj Lihare, conducted an informative session, highlighting various aspects of energy management and operational efficiency in boilers.
The workshop witnessed active participation from members of Laghu Udyog Bharti, Purvottar Prant, Kamrup region, along with representatives from numerous reputed industries across Northeast India. Participants found the event highly beneficial, as it not only emphasized energy-saving techniques but also focused on safety and maintenance best practices.
The workshop's success marked a significant step forward in promoting energy efficiency and enhancing boiler management practices, earning appreciation from all attendees.
