Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, in association with Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) – Karnataka, successfully hosted an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme for Girl Students: An Innovative Path for Empowerment on 20th February 2025 at Kuvempu Hall, RCUB. The event marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Laghu Udyog Bharati – Karnataka, Rani Channamma University, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Study Chair of the University. The MoU aims to foster entrepreneurship and self-reliance among women, students, and farmers, aligning with LUB’s mission of promoting socio-economic empowerment. Dr. Priya A. Puranik, State Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati – Karnataka, was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the program, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship in driving self-sufficiency. Smt. Lata Hooli and Smt. Veena Jigajinni from Laghu Udyog Bharati – Karnataka served as resource persons, conducting insightful sessions and sharing practical knowledge to inspire participants. Santosh Kamagouda (KAS, Sr. Scale), Registrar, RCUB, attended as the Guest of Honour. Prof. C.M. Thyagaraja, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Rani Channamma University, presided over the program and expressed gratitude to LUB – Karnataka for their dedicated efforts in empowering society and fostering entrepreneurship. The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. J. Manjanna, Director, IQAC, RCUB; Prof. Chandrika K.B., Coordinator, Women Empowerment Cell, RCUB; and Prof. B.S. Navi, Director, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Study Chair, RCUB. The MoU is expected to pave the way for collaborative initiatives, training programs, and workshops aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial skills, creating new opportunities for students, women, and farmers across the region.
