Today, representatives of Laghu Udyog Bharati held a constructive meeting with Kesavendra Kumar, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, to deliberate on key concerns and policy recommendations aimed at strengthening the MSME ecosystem in Kerala.

The delegation comprised Kerala State Vice President Venkateswaran Sitaraman, along with Ajay Kumar and Rajeev Kothamangalam. During the interaction, they submitted a detailed representation outlining the pressing challenges faced by MSMEs in the state — including access to finance, market linkages, compliance burdens, infrastructure gaps, and technology upgradation — and proposed constructive, solution-oriented measures to accelerate growth and competitiveness.

Shri Kesavendra Kumar gave a patient hearing to the delegation and appreciated the proactive efforts of Laghu Udyog Bharati in voicing grassroots industry concerns. He assured that the Ministry would extend special attention to Kerala’s MSME sector and explore appropriate policy interventions wherever necessary. He also conveyed his full support and assistance for the upcoming Central Zone Meeting scheduled to be held on March 14 in Ernakulam, expressing confidence that such engagements would further strengthen coordination between industry stakeholders and the Government.

The meeting reaffirmed Laghu Udyog Bharati’s continued commitment to policy advocacy and collaborative development for the holistic upliftment of MSMEs in Kerala.
