Laghu Udyog Bharati – Jalandhar, in association with MSME -DFO Ludhiana & FMC conducted a half-day Awareness Programme on MSME Competitive (Lean) Scheme 2022 at Hotel Golden Tulip, Jalandhar on 

Dais setting was managed by LUB Jalandhar Gen.Secretary Mr. Anirudh Dhir.

Mr. Anirudh Dhir invited the guests to the dais and presented them a floral welcome along with other LUB Jalandhar members.

Mr Vivek Rathour, President Laghu Udyog Bharati – Jalandhar welcomed officials of MSME DFO Ludhiana, NPC Chandigarh, dignitaries and participants. He emphasized on adoption of lean principles in MSME units to remain competitive in today’s fast-paced business environment. He said that 26 July is very important, as the whole country celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas and we are proud of the Indian Forces for its victory over Pakistan, thus safeguarding Indian sovereignty and its unity. He again said that the opening ceremony of Paris Olympic 2024 is also on the same day. He wished good luck to the participating Indian athletes from LUB Jalandhar unit! He said that so many coincidences are attached with this day and that on this day, LUB Jalandhar too is conducting an awareness workshop with MSME-DFO Ludhiana.


Mr.Wazir Singh Assistant Director MSME DFO Ludhiana explained about the objective of MSME Competitive Lean scheme and how the scheme would be beneficial to improve their products quality, minimize the rejection, optimum utilisation of space and skill, enhance their productivity and improve the inventory turnover ratio, reduce various wastages by implementation of Lean Tools. He also discussed about zero effect zero defect (ZED), PMS, Public Procurement Policy, Delayed Payment Act, MSE-Cluster Development Programme, CGTMSE scheme for the MSME sector and discussed about how these schemes are  helpful to MSME sector to build it's branding. He explained the importance of MSME LEAN competitiveness scheme to the manufacturing MSMEs & requested them to avail the benefits of the scheme discussed during the Awareness Programme. He laid emphasis on  MSME Competitive LEAN Scheme (MCLS) guidelines, monitoring & Implementation mechanisms and benefits / financial assistance for MSME units.  


Mr. Ashok Kumar, incharge- Regional Director NPC Chandigarh highlighted salient features of MCLS Scheme. He briefly explained the objective of the scheme, lean registration process, formation of GoE, implementation and monitoring mechanism and handholding support under the MCLS scheme. He discussed the case studies of various MSME units and shared the achievements & benefits accrued to participating units during the implementation of lean manufacturing competitiveness scheme in pilot & Upscaled phase.


Mr.Krishan Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME DFO LUDHIANA discussed the international cooperation (IC) scheme which provides financial support to MSME sector to participate in listed exhibitions in foreign countries. He also discussed other components of the international corporation scheme that is capacity building for first time micro exporters under which first time micro exporters can avail financial assistance for getting RCMC from any export promotion council and on premium paid to ECGC and financial assistant for getting testing and quality certificate for export purpose.  Barcode, MSME innovative scheme, Intellectual Property Right, Patent, Trademark registration, Design Registration Schemes were also discussed during the event.

All members keenly listened and actively participated and discussed their various enquiries / doubts on the above mentioned schemes, which were cleared by the MSMEs officials. They were thankful to the officials for educating them in the awareness session and lauded LUB Jalandhar for organising such fruitful and productive sessions with officials from MSMEs DFO Ldh.

President Vivek Rathour and Gen Sec Anuridh Dhir also thanked Mr.Rishi Ram from FMC for his efforts in conducting the meeting and thanked all the members for their time and showing  keen interest. The session continued for three hours with a nice learning experience.
