During the recent Entrepreneurs’ Meet held in Latur, Shri Laxmikant Karwa, President of Laghu Udyog Bharati, Latur, presented the key demands of the MSME sector in the district to Hon’ble Dr. Bhagwatji Karad, Former Union Finance Minister. Highlighting the infrastructural and policy challenges faced by local industries, Shri Karwa emphasized the need for establishing a GST Commissioner Office in Latur, starting regular flight services, launching Intercity and Vande Bharat train connectivity between Latur and Pune, expanding the Latur–Tembhurni road to four lanes, further extending it to six lanes between Tembhurni and Pune, and constructing a new railway line from Latur Road to Nanded. He also urged the abolition of municipal taxes imposed on MIDC industries, which are currently impacting MSME competitiveness. A detailed memorandum outlining these demands was formally submitted to Dr. Karad in the presence of dignitaries.
