The Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) Tirupur Chapter, Tamil Nadu, organized an insightful awareness program highlighting the availability and adoption of new technologies developed by CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) and their benefits for MSME members. The event, attended by over 100 participants, provided valuable insights into leveraging advanced technologies to drive business growth.
The program commenced with an introductory address by Mr. Kailairajan, who emphasized the importance of technology adoption for MSMEs. This was followed by Mr. Jayachandran, State Joint General Secretary and in charge of CSIR activities, who elaborated on various CSIR initiatives, the availability of innovative technologies, methods for their adoption, and opportunities for collaboration with CSIR labs across India. Adding to this, Mr. Ramachandran, DGM of SIDBI’s local branch, explained the various business loan schemes available for MSMEs, including subsidies designed to support entrepreneurs in adopting advanced technologies.
A highlight of the event was the inspiring case studies shared by Mr. Elango, President of the LUB Erode Chapter, and Mrs. Lavanya, Secretary of the Erode Chapter. They recounted their personal experiences of working with CSIR labs, detailing how they successfully acquired and implemented more than 17 technologies within just 100 days, demonstrating the tangible benefits of collaboration between MSMEs and research institutions.
The All India Joint General Secretary, Mr. Mohanasundaram, provided a broader perspective on LUB’s initiatives for MSMEs and its impactful activities in southern states. The event was thoughtfully organized by Mr. Balakrishnan, President of the LUB Tirupur Chapter, and Mr. Sridhar, Secretary of the chapter. Their efforts ensured a well-structured platform for entrepreneurs to explore opportunities and engage with industry experts.
The program effectively educated and empowered MSMEs, equipping them with knowledge of advanced technologies and financial guidance to support their adoption. The event marked a significant step forward in the LUB Tirupur Chapter’s commitment to fostering innovation and growth among its members.
