Laghu Udyog Bharati West Bengal Organizes Awareness and Coordination Programme for Women Entrepreneurs
Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) West Bengal successfully organized an Awareness Programme and Coordination Meeting aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs by facilitating access to financial and institutional support. The event witnessed the active participation of key stakeholders, including National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), NIT Bardhaman, along with representatives from Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Axis Bank.
The primary focus of the programme was to create awareness about various government schemes, financial products, and institutional support available for women-led enterprises, particularly in the MSME sector. LUB West Bengal also unveiled an ambitious and impactful initiative titled "100 Loans to 100 Women Entrepreneurs in 100 Days", designed to provide financial assistance to both existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs across the state.
Through this initiative, LUB aims to create a structured pathway for women entrepreneurs to access working capital, project loans, and other credit facilities essential for business growth. The programme will be driven in close coordination with NSIC, KVIC, banking partners, and local institutions to ensure handholding support throughout the application, sanction, and disbursement processes.
Officials from PNB and Axis Bank presented detailed information on various women-centric loan products, subsidies, and schemes under government initiatives such as PMEGP, Mudra Yojana, Stand-Up India, and special credit facilities for MSMEs. Experts from KVIC and NSIC shared insights into marketing support, capacity building, and the benefits of registering with their organizations for wider market access.
The presence of NIT Bardhaman representatives further strengthened the session by highlighting the importance of technical support, skill development, and innovation-driven enterprise growth for women entrepreneurs.
The programme concluded with an open discussion session, where participants enthusiastically shared their queries and received clarifications from the experts. The initiative was widely appreciated by the attendees, especially women entrepreneurs who expressed confidence that such handholding and focused financial facilitation will significantly boost their entrepreneurial journey.
Laghu Udyog Bharati West Bengal reaffirmed its commitment to creating sustainable business opportunities for women entrepreneurs and announced that monitoring and progress reviews of the "100 Loans to 100 Women in 100 Days" mission will be conducted regularly to ensure its success and timely implementation.
