In the run up to the organization of 1st ever exhibition of LUB (Swayamsidha) in Punjab, the women wing will be visiting all the units in near future and the first such visit was undertaken yesterday (16th May, 2024) when a 4 member team consisting of:
Seema Dhumal (Gen Sec Mahila-ikai Punjab);
Aarti Sachdeva (Gen Sec Mahila-ikai Jalandhar-Centre);
Ramanpreet Judge (Convener Mahila-ikai Jalandhar North); and
Pallavi Thakur (co-convener Mahila-ikai Jalandhar North),
visited Dera Bassi unit in Punjab and also met with LUB-Chandigarh office bearers in Chandigarh.
Mona Mongia (Convener Dera Bassi Mahila ikai) welcomed the 4 member delegation in Dera Bassi.

Mahila ikai Dera Bassi appreciated this first ever endeavour of Mahila ikai Punjab and gave a boost to the efforts by booking 10 stalls with full payment of these stalls in advance ie. a Rs.2,11,000/- cheque.
After that the 4 member delegation (accompanied by Mona Mongia and Pardeep ji) went to Chandigarh and held a meeting with LUB-Chandigarh office bearers there.
Chandigarh President Mr.Avi Bhasin ji, Gen Sec Mr.Manish Nigam ji , treasurer Sandeep Mongia ji , Sunil Khetarpal ji , promod ji and the women entrepreneurs present in the meeting lauded the efforts of Mahila ikai LUB-Pujab and assured their cooperation and participation in the said exhibition (swayamsidha).
Mahila ikai Punjab also contacted Mohai LUB unit, but the unit Presudent Mr.Dheeraj Ahluwalia ji was unavailable due to the indisposition (illness) of his wife and Ajay Mahajan ji were out of station, but both assured all help and cooperation and said that very soon they will invite Mahila ikai Punjab office bearers to Mohali and are also in the process of forming a Mahila ikai in Mohali too, as they have contacted some women entrepreneurs there.
Mahila ikai LUB Punjab is highly thankful to Mahila ikai and male ikai Dera Bassi for ther encouragement in getting the 10 stalls booked and making all the payment in advance.
We are also thankful to Chandigarh LUB unit for the warm welcome and assurance of all cooperation and participation!
Very soon such more delegations of Mahila ikai LUB Punja will be visiting all the male and women units of LUB Punjab for stalls, sponsorships and participation ????
