Laghu Udyog Bharti, Valsad District (Gujarat), in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC), Valsad, successfully organized an informative seminar on Wednesday, 26th March 2025, at the Centre of Excellence, GIDC, Vapi. The primary objective of the seminar was to create awareness among MSME entrepreneurs about the latest government schemes and regulatory updates that are essential for sustainable business growth. The seminar focused on two key areas: first, the incentive schemes offered by the Government of Gujarat for MSMEs, which include capital subsidies, interest subsidies, support for technology upgradation, and export promotion. Participants were briefed on the eligibility, benefits, and application processes for these schemes, encouraging them to make full use of the support available for scaling and modernizing their enterprises. The second focus area was the revised Schedule-M under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, where significant updates in manufacturing practices, quality control, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance were discussed. This session was particularly beneficial for entrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors, helping them understand the steps required to align with the new norms. The event witnessed active participation from MSME stakeholders across the Valsad district, who appreciated the practical insights and clarity offered during the sessions. The seminar was lauded for promoting policy awareness, compliance readiness, and empowering MSMEs to better navigate regulatory and developmental frameworks, reinforcing the commitment of Laghu Udyog Bharti and DIC Valsad to drive industrial growth in the region.
