Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) Amritsar organized an insightful seminar on “Lean Manufacturing,” chaired by Mr. Amit Kapur, President of the Amritsar unit. The keynote address was delivered by renowned consultant and Lean Manufacturing expert Mr. Amit Mamgain, who highlighted the immense benefits of adopting lean techniques for enhancing productivity and efficiency in industries. The stage proceedings were smoothly conducted by Ms. Priyanka Goyal, President of the Women’s Wing, Amritsar unit. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Samir Khanna, Punjab Vice-President of LUB, and Dr. J.P. Singh, Advisor to LUB. In his address, Mr. Khanna expressed pride in the fact that two members of the LUB fraternity—Mr. Kamal Dalmia and Ms. Priyanka Goyal—had been nominated by the Government of Punjab to the State Level Committee on Spinning & Weaving. The seminar was further honoured by the presence of Mr. Gur Iqbal Singh, Functional Manager, Industries Department, as the Guest of Honour, and Mr. Sheetal Juneja, Majha Zone Incharge of the Trade Wing of the Aam Aadmi Party, who was felicitated on the occasion. A significant highlight was the announcement by Mr. Khanna regarding the formation of the first-ever Lean Manufacturing cluster in Amritsar, starting with seven participating units and with more expected to join. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. J.P. Singh. Among the industrialists present were LUB Amritsar Treasurer Mr. T.R. Mahajan, Mr. Sumit Kapoor from PHDCCI, Mr. Satyan Dilawari, Mr. Suresh Goyal, Mr. Kartar Singh, Mr. Uma Shanker Singh, Mr. Vishal Goyal, and Mr. Saurabh Kakkar.
