We are delighted to share that 25 members from Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) Tamil Nadu visited the CSIR Madras Complex (CMC) in Chennai today to explore various facilities and technologies available at the different laboratories within the complex.
Our team was warmly welcomed by Dr. Roberts Sam, Scientist In-Charge, and Dr. Sethuraman, Principal Scientist, CSIO & Nodal Officer, Business Development Group (BDG), CSIO, Chennai. During the visit, Dr. Sam provided an overview of the cutting-edge technologies and facilities available at CSIO. The members were given a tour of the calibration lab and Renewable Energy testing facilities.
The team then proceeded to the National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) where they interacted with scientists and the Scientist In-Charge, learning about various technologies in mineral processing and metallurgy.
Following this, our members engaged with the Scientist In-Charge at the Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Chennai. The discussions centered on AI & Deep Tech-based solutions for addressing various industry challenges.
The visit also included walkthroughs of the Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI) and the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI).
After lunch, Dr. Narender Singh, Head of the Business Development Group at CSIO, conducted a session on Industrial Research under the PRISM Scheme, providing valuable insights to our members.
The day concluded with a detailed briefing by Dr. Satish Kumar, Head of BDG, SERC, on the technologies and facilities available at the Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC). Five scientists presented various technologies available for transfer at SERC.
The visit to CSIR CMC has inspired new ideas and potential collaborations with CSIR labs, paving the way for further interactions.
