Laghu Udyog Bharati, the largest MSME association in India, marked a significant milestone by forming its Tripura Ekai under the Purvottar Prant, aimed at promoting and empowering micro and small enterprises in the Northeastern region. On April 2nd, a day-long seminar was organized at a private venue in Agartala, dedicated to supporting MSMEs and contributing to the state’s economic development. The seminar brought together key stakeholders from government and industry, creating a vibrant platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and policy discussions. Shri Tinku Roy, Honourable Minister for Youth Affairs, Sports, Social Welfare, Education & Labour, Govt. of Tripura, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, highlighting the critical role such initiatives play in removing obstacles faced by entrepreneurs and strengthening the industrial base of the region. Other esteemed Guests of Honour included Shri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, Industries & Commerce; Shri Pravin Agrawal, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests; and Shri Nabadal Banik, Chairman, TIDC. The leaders collectively emphasized the need for grassroots-level support, capacity building, and better access to government schemes to foster entrepreneurship. With the establishment of the Tripura Ekai, Laghu Udyog Bharati aims to conduct regular workshops, policy consultations, exhibitions, and B2B interactions, thereby opening new avenues for economic cooperation, employment generation, and sustainable growth in the region.
