Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) BITS Pilani, one of India's premier institutions for higher education and training, has entered into a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) National, the apex body representing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country. This collaboration is an important step towards innovation, technology adoption and capacity building in the MSME sector in India.

Industry-academia relationship will be strengthened Under a strategic partnership or synergy agreement, BITS Pilani and LUB will collaborate on various initiatives to enable MSME. This includes technology support and upgradation for MSMEs, joint research and development projects addressing sector-specific challenges, innovation, incubation and entrepreneurial support, training and capacity-building programmes, strengthening industry-academia linkages.
