Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), Goa Chapter, and World Trade Centre (WTC) Goa, both leading trade associ-ations based in Goa, signed a memorandum of un-derstanding (MoU) at the World Trade Centre, Panaji on Wednesday.
The objective of the MoU is to fast-track the ex-ports from Goa through the prowess of the member units of LUB and WTC and open for them a global foot-print through the one solid network of the World Trade Centres Association, which has 300+ WTCs across 100+ countries.
Laghu Udyog Bharati is a registered all-India organisation of micro, small, and medium industries in India.

It is represented in all important committees/boards/agencies consti-tuted by government of India. Speaking during the signing ceremony, Pallavi Salgaocar, Goa state president, LUB, said that WTC Goa gives out many leads and MSMEs can respond to these leads by themselves or collaborate with other MSMEs, and foray into the global markets.
Mudit Agarwaal, general decretary, LUB, said that he was very happy with the proceedings and opined that putting things in action through the joint efforts of WTC and LUB MSME could establish a strong action blueprint that, going for ward, will help the MSMEs of Goa enhance their export capabilities and be a part of the Prime Minister's Vision of a 5-trillion economy.
Earlier, Cyril Desouza, assistant director -trade pro-motion, WTC Goa, noted in his opening remarks that the WTCA global net-work and the manufactur-ing prowess of the member units of WTC Goa and LUB could look forward to a ro-bust mechanism that will bring immense opportunit-ies for both the association's stakeholders to take exports from Goa to another level.
Summing up the signific-ance of the momentous oc-casion of signing the MoU, Vibor Keny, treasurer, LUB, said that Goa can definitely benefit and start exporting more, which will lead to making Goa an exporting hub for MSMEs.
