Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) actively participated in a stakeholder consultation meeting held at the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Headquarters, Noida, on 1 July 2026 to review and strengthen the Fire Marshal Course currently being developed by NIOS.
Representing Laghu Udyog Bharati, Smt. Aarti Sehgal, Shri Neeraj Sehgal and Shri Raman Chawla joined senior NIOS officials and other stakeholders to deliberate on the proposed curriculum. During the consultation, NIOS presented the draft course structure, following which industry experts shared constructive suggestions to ensure the programme meets contemporary industry needs.
Drawing upon his extensive expertise in fire safety, Shri Neeraj Sehgal provided valuable technical recommendations aimed at enhancing the practical and industry-oriented components of the curriculum. His inputs focused on equipping learners with the skills and knowledge required to meet real-world fire safety challenges.
The discussions emphasized making the course more application-driven by incorporating hands-on training, strengthening industry linkages, and aligning the curriculum with current industry standards. These measures are expected to improve students’ employability while creating a skilled workforce capable of meeting the growing demand for qualified fire safety professionals.
