A highly inspiring Membership Drive of Laghu Udyog Bharati was successfully organised on 14 June 2026 at Hotel Annapurna, Bishnupur, with the objective of strengthening the Bankura district unit and transforming it from a Convenor Unit into a Full Unit.
The interactive session was led by District Convenor Shri Shiv Kumar Jalan and Modhya Bengal General Secretary Shri Arup Kumar Roy, who highlighted the significant role of Laghu Udyog Bharati in promoting entrepreneurship, empowering MSMEs, and contributing to nation-building.
The programme received an overwhelming response, with 20 new entrepreneurs, including women entrepreneurs, joining the organisation on the spot through membership forms, cheque payments, and online registrations.
The meeting was graced by All India Vice President Shri Saroj Kumar Sahoo, who demonstrated exemplary dedication by travelling more than 600 kilometres by road despite suffering from fever. His message, “The show must go on,” inspired all participants as he reiterated the vision of establishing Full Units in all 23 districts of West Bengal.
The programme witnessed the presence of Shri Ramesh Kumar Sovasaria, Shri Arup Kumar Roy, Mentor Shri Ashok Kumar Chakraborty, Shri Shiv Kumar Jalan, Sangha Adhikari Shri Surojit Acharya, and around 50 entrepreneurs.
The remarkable enthusiasm and commitment shown by the participants made the event a memorable milestone in strengthening the MSME movement and organisational expansion of Laghu Udyog Bharati in Bankura district.
