Today, a delegation of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) comprising Partha Pratim Pathak, Pramod Mour, and Vivek Agarwal met Dr. JB Ekka to discuss key issues concerning MSMEs and industrial development in Assam and the North East region.

During the meeting, the delegation submitted important representations related to safeguarding the benefits of NEIDS 2017 and UNNATI 2024 in the context of GST 2.0. Discussions also focused on the need for a long-term Industrial Policy for the North East, extension of the UNNATI scheme with enhanced fund allocation, and reforms in SME IPO norms for LLPs converting into Private Limited companies.

The interaction was highly positive and constructive. Dr. JB Ekka assured full support towards strengthening industrial growth initiatives in the region, particularly regarding the extension of the UNNATI scheme, allocation of additional funds, and continued encouragement for MSME development across the North East.
