The Foundation Day of Laghu Udyog Bharati was celebrated with enthusiasm at Jammu Club, located within MA Stadium. The event brought together industrialists, entrepreneurs, and representatives from various industrial associations across the Union Territory.

The programme was headlined by Indresh Kumar, National Executive Member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, who attended as the main speaker. Other prominent dignitaries included Sat Sharma (Rajya Sabha MP and BJP J&K President), Gulam Ali Khatana, Vikram Randhawa, Yudhvir Sethi, Arvind Dhumal, and Parveen Pargal.

In his keynote address, Indresh Kumar emphasized India’s rapid progress towards self-reliance, highlighting improvements in economic strength, purchasing power, and national confidence. Referring to the recent incident in Pahalgam, he mentioned that “Operation Sindoor” was successfully executed within 4 days and 25 minutes, and called upon citizens to celebrate “Sainik Vijay” from May 7 to May 10 as a mark of respect and national pride.

He urged entrepreneurs to adopt a positive mindset, work with dignity, and contribute towards building a strong economic roadmap for Jammu & Kashmir. Stressing the role of industries, he noted that entrepreneurs are key drivers of employment and nation-building. He also reiterated the vision of becoming “job givers, not job seekers,” with a collective target of generating up to 10,000 employment opportunities in the region.

Sat Sharma appreciated the constructive role of Laghu Udyog Bharati in raising MSME concerns and assured that genuine issues would be taken up at both central and state levels. Gulam Ali Khatana also extended full support to the industrial community, emphasizing the importance of MSMEs in balanced regional development.

Arvind Dhumal highlighted the nationwide expansion of LUB, noting its growing influence across multiple states and districts. Parveen Pargal presented key demands, including extension of the NCSS package, introduction of a new 10-year industrial package, implementation of procurement policies, strengthening of MSME payment rules, and development of logistics and warehousing infrastructure.

The event was conducted by Aagam Jain, with a welcome address by President Dinesh Gupta and a vote of thanks by Treasurer Ishant Gupta. Several office bearers and members from the Jammu & Kashmir unit, along with representatives from Punjab and North Zone, were present. On this occasion, new Mahila office bearers were also appointed, and workers from various industrial estates were honored.

The programme concluded with a strong message of unity, self-reliance, industrial growth, and nation-building, reinforcing the commitment of the MSME sector towards strengthening the economy.
