Joint District-Level Meeting of Golaghat and Jorhat Ekais Focuses on Organizational Growth and Key Industry Issues

A combined district-level meeting of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) was successfully held on 2 August 2026 at Zenith Spot Resort, Dergaon, Golaghat. The meeting was jointly hosted by the Golaghat Ekai and Jorhat Ekai with the objective of strengthening organizational coordination, discussing key industrial issues, and planning future activities.

The meeting was graced by Purvottar Prant President Shri Partha Pratim Pathak Ji, Purvottar Prant Vice President Shri Anil Kabra Ji, and Purvottar Prant Executive Member Shri Rajen Kalita Ji. Special invitees Shri Ramen Kumar Das and Shri Manoj Sarania from Guwahati also attended the programme.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome and felicitation of the distinguished guests by the office bearers of Golaghat and Jorhat Ekais. The welcome address was delivered by Shri Anil Kabra Ji, who highlighted the importance of organizational unity and active participation in the growth of Laghu Udyog Bharati.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Partha Pratim Pathak Ji delivered an inspiring keynote speech emphasizing the significance of active involvement in Laghu Udyog Bharati. He elaborated on the numerous benefits available to members and shared practical examples from his own entrepreneurial journey as well as the experiences of Shri Rajen Kalita Ji, motivating members to contribute more actively to the organization.

During his address, Shri Pathak also briefed the members about the recently signed MoU between Laghu Udyog Bharati and IIT Guwahati, explaining the opportunities it would create for MSMEs through technology support, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration.

The meeting also included a detailed discussion on the flood relief programme scheduled for 3 August 2026, with members finalizing plans to undertake relief activities in the affected areas.

Representatives of Golaghat Ekai raised several issues concerning local industries, including electricity-related challenges, pollution control matters, and a proposal to reduce the Gram Shilpi membership fee to ₹250. The General Secretary of Golaghat Ekai also requested that official introductory letters identifying local office bearers be issued by the Prant to various government departments. The Prant President assured members that the necessary letters could be provided promptly through the administrative office.

During the interactive session, Shri Rajkumar Choudhery shared his experience of repeated departmental inspections arising from personal complaints. Members discussed the issue at length and unanimously emphasized the importance of maintaining all statutory approvals, licenses, and regulatory compliances to safeguard industries from unnecessary harassment.

The meeting witnessed active participation from office bearers and members of both Golaghat and Jorhat Ekais, resulting in meaningful deliberations on organizational development, industrial challenges, and member welfare.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Purvottar Prant Vice President Shri Anil Kabra Ji, followed by a fellowship dinner.
