As part of Laghu Udyog Bharati’s Industry-Academia and Technology Transfer initiatives, a delegation led by Sh. Arvind Dhumal ji, All India Vice President, and Sh. Amit Goyal ji, National Coordinator, Technology Transfer Vertical, along with Sh. Vivek Rathore ji, Sh. Puneet Gupta ji and around 20 LUB members from Jalandhar, Phagwara, Hoshiarpur and Phillaur, visited NIT Jalandhar on Thursday.
The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Ajay Bansal ji, Dean, Industry and International Affairs; Prof. T. Srinivas ji, Head, Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Rakesh Kumar ji, Head, Industrial and Production Engineering; Dr. Dushyant Singh ji, Head, Workshop, along with other faculty members of NIT Jalandhar.
During the visit, the NIT faculty delivered presentations on the institute’s academic capabilities, research initiatives and technological innovations. The LUB members were also taken on a tour of various laboratories, where they witnessed the research, technology and development work being undertaken at the institute.
The interaction provided an opportunity for MSME entrepreneurs to understand the technological capabilities available at NIT Jalandhar and explore avenues for their practical application in industry.
The future roadmap for strengthening Industry-Academia collaboration, including opportunities for technology transfer, research partnerships and industry-oriented solutions for MSMEs, was also discussed in detail. The visit marked another important step towards building stronger linkages between academia, research institutions and the MSME sector.
