Goa Launches Export Facilitation Centre to Empower MSMEs for Global Markets

Taking a significant step towards strengthening the export ecosystem for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) – Goa, in collaboration with the Global Chamber Goa and the World Trade Center (WTC) Goa, officially launched the Export Facilitation Centre and the 100 SME Export Champions Initiative in Panaji.
The initiative aims to equip Goan MSMEs with the knowledge, resources, and institutional support required to become globally competitive and export-ready.
Welcoming the distinguished guests, Smt. Pallavi Salgaocar, President, Laghu Udyog Bharati – Goa, highlighted the organization’s vision of creating a robust ecosystem that enables local industries to access international markets and contribute to India’s growing export economy.
The event featured insightful sessions by industry experts and policymakers:
- Mr. Cyril D’Souza, World Trade Center Goa, shared valuable perspectives on expanding market access and international business opportunities.
- Ms. Aarti Neemkar, representing Global Chamber Goa and IEDA, presented a strategic roadmap for helping MSMEs successfully enter global markets.
- Shri M. K. Meena, Joint Director, MSME Development & Facilitation Office (DFO), Government of India, emphasized the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening MSME exports.
- Shri Prakash Chandra Ji, National Organising Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati, encouraged entrepreneurs to adopt innovation, quality standards, and export-oriented practices to enhance India’s manufacturing capabilities.
- Shri Sachin Sabnis, LUB Goa Prabhari, spoke about building a strong support network that empowers MSMEs to compete confidently in international markets.
- Mr. Naman Marjadi from PLEXCONCIL highlighted emerging export opportunities in the plastics sector.
- Mr. Rohit Salveru of Cargo First & Blinkus.ai delivered a forward-looking session on leveraging Artificial Intelligence to simplify global trade processes and improve export efficiency.
- The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Shri Mudit Agarwal, General Secretary, LUB Goa.
More than 90 entrepreneurs, exporters, industry leaders, and MSME stakeholders participated in the event, reflecting the growing enthusiasm among Goan businesses to explore international markets through collaborative initiatives.
As a major outcome of the programme, the first Export Cohort under the 100 SME Export Champions Initiative was officially launched. Registration details and a dedicated QR code will be released shortly, inviting ambitious MSMEs to join the programme and accelerate their global journey.
The initiative reinforces Laghu Udyog Bharati’s commitment to building globally competitive MSMEs and contributing to the vision of “Make in India, Export to the World.”
