LUB Karnataka Drives Quality Excellence with ZED Certification Awareness Program

Laghu Udyog Bharati – Karnataka (Belagavi Unit), in association with the Quality Council of India (QCI) and with the support of SIDBI, successfully organized a ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) Certification Awareness Program at Hotel Native, Belagavi. The program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 127 MSME entrepreneurs, reflecting the growing interest among local industries in adopting world-class quality standards and sustainable manufacturing practices.

The awareness session focused on the benefits of the ZED Certification Scheme, including quality enhancement, environmental sustainability, improved competitiveness, financial incentives available under the scheme, and banking support for MSMEs. Experts highlighted how ZED certification enables enterprises to strengthen their manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and expand business opportunities in domestic and global markets.

The program was graced by Shri Prakash Chandra ji, National Organizing Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati, as the Chief Guest. He emphasized the importance of quality-driven manufacturing and encouraged MSMEs to embrace the ZED framework as a pathway to achieving global competitiveness and contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The event was also attended by distinguished Guests of Honor, including Dr. Sachin Sabnis ji, National Vice President, Laghu Udyog Bharati; Shri Bharat B. ji, Deputy Director, District Industries Centre (DIC); Shri Pramod Paranjape ji, Senior Manager, RSJ Inspection Service; and Shri Sachanand Mohnani ji, Assistant General Manager, SIDBI. The dignitaries shared valuable insights on quality certification, government support mechanisms, financing opportunities, and the long-term benefits of adopting globally recognized manufacturing standards.

The interactive session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, where participants sought guidance on the certification process, subsidy eligibility, implementation strategies, and financial assistance. The program reaffirmed Laghu Udyog Bharati’s commitment to empowering MSMEs with the knowledge, resources, and institutional support needed to build a high-quality, sustainable, and globally competitive manufacturing ecosystem.
