Laghu Udyog Bharati Delegation Meets West Bengal Chief Minister in Siliguri
A delegation of Laghu Udyog Bharati – North Bengal Region met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal at the State Secretariat in Siliguri to discuss key industrial and economic issues impacting the MSME sector across North Bengal.
The delegation was led by CA Aditya Mitruka, President, North Bengal Region, along with Shri Bipan Syngal, President, West Bengal. During the meeting, the representatives highlighted the urgent need for accelerated industrial development, infrastructure modernization, and policy reforms aimed at strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the region.
Key issues and proposals presented before the Chief Minister included:
- Establishment of a regional single-window clearance mechanism for industries
- Rationalization of industrial electricity tariffs
- Improvement in road and logistics connectivity
- Freight subsidy support for industries in North Bengal
- Reforms for leasehold to freehold land conversion
- Revitalization and value-addition initiatives for the tea industry
- Creation of a secure and industry-friendly investment environment
The delegation also submitted a comprehensive strategic roadmap featuring a district-wise export and product scaling matrix for West Bengal, aligned with the vision of decentralized industrial growth and enhanced global market integration.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister assured the delegation that the concerns and recommendations submitted by Laghu Udyog Bharati would be examined seriously for policy-level consideration and future implementation.
The meeting reflected Laghu Udyog Bharati’s continued commitment towards promoting MSME growth, industrial development, and investment opportunities in North Bengal and across West Bengal.
